These images are examples of focus stacking. This is where multiple images are taken with varying focal points between the foreground and background of the same scene. The images are then collected together and processed using stacking software. The result is a sharp image all the way through the scene.
This is a great technique for product and macro photography.
From left to right, the first image was processed using Helicon Focus to stack the images. The centre image used Photoshop to stack the images. Notice the missing information when zoomed in. The conclusion here is that Photoshop is not always the best tool for the job. The black and white image is a comparison to show tones.
